I had no idea there was an open source remote play client for the PS4. Obviously you aren't playing open source games using it but I think it nice to have the option to use linux. I haven't tried it yet. My mother is staying in the room with the PS4 so this would be ideal to have available.

A bit off topic

Nice that the PS4 streaming system is open enough for this to be possible. I wish Valve would just release their Steamlink Linux port (the one that they made for the RasberryPI) as open source so that we could start creating a nice general purpose remote game streaming client.

I gave it a try today. It works pretty well. I haven't tried it outside my LAN but I think I now have it setup to make it possible. Probably not practicable but I think it would be fun to demo at the linux user group.
