My opinion : I prefer the New Opendungeons' skin because it is more professional than the old one and more original than Monobook which it is used by all Mediawiki site.

If you really do not like the new skin, then I can easily make a new skin for you using a bg-texture of you choice, as I only have to paste in a new image in one svg file, and then re-export all the bottons The power of SVG rules But I think we should make the new skin the default one. But I still consider any skin in beta until we have used it on the wiki for some weeks to test readability.

The skin of your choice will of course also fit with xapantus work as all PNG's will have the same measurements, but you have to pick the right text-colors yourself

Regarding simple re-exporting with different texture: awesome!

I'd prefer a bright bg. And the grey links are kind of odd. It looks to me like the corresponding articles don't exist. Actually the links look too much like normal text.

As said, the background and text color can easily be changed, so what are your comments regarding other stuff?

I do not know, I specified some colors in the file I sent xapantu but he has not used them :S, maybe he does not know they where there.

I think we should test it more first. Also I am going to make the Unwatch and Unprotect tabs today. There is also some colors we need to fix; e.g. I think we should change the colors of the content menu and the frame around pictures, see e.g. the backstory page.

I have found a bug, when you click watch on some page the top gets separated see attachment.

I also want to optimize the file size of the skin, as it is still pretty big. I think it is around 450 KiB's right now.

By the way could you try using the colors in the colors in the text file there was in the zip? I it is these colors:

Visited hyperlink: 172 147 147
Non-existing page hyperlink: 255 128 128

I would especially like to see how the hower/mouse over, visited and unvisited links look like.

I think you should also change such that the dark skin is now the default, that will probably bring in some more bug-reports.

I think that I fixed all bug you reported, is there another one(s) ?

The "mouse over" color is not changed on all links, also please remove the underline from the "mouse over". The "non-existing pages link" is not the right color it is do dark it should be #ff8080. Not all bullets seem to have the right color, they should all be #c0c0c0.

The table of contents for a page currently have a black bacground, can you make it transparent so the darkpergament texture can be see instead, and then use the attached svg for the four corners? I do not know if the svg will work in the browser but if it does not then I can make a png from it to use. Also could you do the same for pictures/figures in pages?

The MediaWiki logo is not entirely centered on the footer, could you move it down a small bit?

And use an image for each corner is a little complicated... we could try to set the image only for the bottom left corner ?
