Website, Part two (plan, roadmap, final decisions)

Well it would be more convenient if it was CC-BY-SA since the images are CC-BY-SA. But yeah, can't just change it without permission from everyone that has written on the wiki, even though I don't think anyone would have a problem with it. I don't know if we have had a license thing on it at all.

Take whatever licence you like, as long as I will never have to pay for the game. :D Personally, I consider my work as "public domain" anyways.

Just did some small updates:
  • created new snippets (the layout is now only a collection of snippets, this makes the changing of single elements easier)
  • some updates to the html meta tags
  • footer has now a bigger margin (links weren't clickable because they were "under" the content layer)
  • code tag is now monospaced, smaller and has a border.

About the picture size: I'm not sure if Textile supports this (couldn't find this in the official docs). We shouldn't put the original picture on the page anyways. There should be a thumbnail acting as a link to the original picture.

You can use markdown or raw html in the pages as well it seems, in case textile doesn't support it.

Yeah, it's possible to switch between them. But they can't be mixed.

There's also a BBcode plugin:
http://www.wolfcms.org/repository/59

And an image gallery plugin:
http://project79.net/projects/fancy-image-gallery

Could they be useful?

If GFDL is not already used, then I guess we can use CC-BY-SA 3.0 :)

So that means that Wolf CMS will not generate a thumbnail by itself? That is lame :( I thought that was what a CMS was supposed to do :S

This thing says that it makes the thumbnails itself. It looks useful :)

OK, installed (Gallery + JQuery that's needed by it). Documentation is available directly in WolfCMS (admin panel has a new tab for the gallery).

It seems that I cannot upload images :S It waits for a while (I think it uploads) and then it says that the file could not be uploaded :S

There seems to be something wrong with the permissions to the folders.

The first is a youtube video, the other 3 are images, but they are pretty dark yes. I spiced up the menu text a bit, and made the headers nicer :)

How about this footer then? It is a single bitmap, and it is small, so it will be easy to insert. It just have to sit in the bottom center of the screen.

If that is easy to do, we should try. And then go live.

I managed to get this thing in the center and bottom, but not that it always stays at the screen bottom on pages with less than 100% height. There are a lot of examples on the web, but they don't work for us for some unknown reason...

Nice :) great work :)

Now you just need to use the silver SF logo and the Wolf CMS logo. So the text reads "Powered by [Wolf CMS Logo] on [SF Logo].".

Edit: I found the place to change it, so I did :)

Edit^2: By the way we need to put the logo on the Mediawiki too, as it is no longer there for some reason :S

Should we make the switch to the new page now?

Just one last thing.
We seem to be mixing OpenDungeons and "Open Dungeons". To be consistant i think we should decide on one of them instead of using both.

Then lets take Open Dungeons?

I am sorry but I accidentally broke the new website, the footer is missing because I accidentally overwrote the screen.css file :S Sorry. We should put that stuff into the SVN so this does not happen again.

By the way when clicking blog posts it would be nice if the title of the blog post would actually be visible somewhere on the page :S

I vote for Open Dungeons as it looks allot nice in writing than OpenDungeons does.

Any reasons to support your vote?

Seems I have to change the logo :S

PS: could you change the headers for the blog to use the same colors as we use for the other headers?

What are the pros and cons for each version?

Open Dungeons: Pros) looks allot better in writing Cons) have to change the spelling on some pages (takes a little time)

OpenDungeons: Pros) ? Cons) Have to change the logo (which takes time, allot more than changing the spelling on all webpages)

Any other pros and cons that I am missing?

PS^2: searching for OpenDungeons and Open Dungeons on Google gives our page opendungeons.sf.net as the first hit.
