Website, Part two (plan, roadmap, final decisions)

I think the space-less version looks better (also, not using a space seems more common in projects with a name consisting of opensomething). And I don't think we need to change the logo, there isn't that much space between the n and the D.
We've used OpenDungeons everywhere on the wiki, that's the name used on this forum, youtube channel, blog posts on freegamer, sourceforge, in-code etc.

Agreed with oln here. Personally, I find OpenDungeons looks better. And to be honest, I found out that there's a with-space-version just one month ago or so, didn't even knew there's this version. :D

(besides the fact that I always found the name to be funny anyways, because Dungeons are not meant to be Open - or how will open doors keep your victims in it to torture them? ;) )

Any different perspectives other than personal opinion? If I check out the list of open source games on Wikipedia almost all of them use space-less versions.

But what about new players that first discover OD, what would they like best? I talked to my office-mate today and his initial reaction was that Open Dungeons was the best.

If we decide to use the space less version then the logo will be changed because I designed it with the space in and I have always though of Open Dungeons with the space. So if we decide the space will of course also have to go in the logo. But I just think we should consider it carefully.

PS: in Wolf CMS could we change the settings so that it does not post my full name when I make a post? Change I change it in some setting?

While browsing the Blog I found some inconsistencies. When looking at the blog all posts are listed with the title of the post on top, but when you click the title you get to a page where only the body of the post is shown, and you cannot see the title anywhere. Which is very confusing. The title should be shown when you look only at the single blog post. How can we make that? When I look at the html/php you used to generate the blog with it seems to not be possible since you generate the title and link, but the actual blog post does not have a title :S

Could we modify the displaying of blog posts such that it shows the title?

Edit: I have an idea. We change the display of the blog such that the title is not a link, but if the post has an extended part then there is a continue reading link. Now when the actual post is shown there should be a wrapper snippet that adds the blog posts title to the top of the page. That way we also avoid that all the headings are yellow as they are not links anymore and hence they are the normal red header color.

Edit^2: I do not understand this snippet system, if I uncomment say the left bottom corner div tag in the page snippet then the corner disappears on all pages. But the page snippet is not explicitly called on all pages, so how does this work?

Edit^3: Oln and I fixed it now the headers for the blog posts look nice :)

Tried to ask about the name on irc:
<oln> I need some opinions. What sounds/looks best: Open Dungeons, or OpenDungeons?
<oln> as in space or no space
<hiponboy> no one
<hiponboy> :P
<hiponboy> i have an answer for you
<oln> What is it?
<hiponboy> why open dungeon instead of "dark", "dungeon of hell"
<hiponboy> etc
<hiponboy> ?
<Philip`> OpenDungeons looks more like a name and less like just an adjective and noun
<oln> because it's too much work to change that after like 2 years hiponboy
<hiponboy> in that case open the dungeon :P ahaha
<hiponboy> sorry for the joke

Also, OpenDungeons is what AlienWolf used when he started the project it seems:

Now it would have been handy to have the old forum (the one before the crash), but that did not survive :S

I updated the logo on SVN and the website to reflect the new name change. Also the svg for the banner logo is now more sane as it is properly layered and the slogan can now easily be moved around as all effects applied to it is done to a number of clones of the text that are all "put on the same path", i.e., changing the path moves the text, nice and easy :)

Just updated the doxygen (1.8.0) sites from the latest git:
http://opendungeons.sourceforge.net/doxygen/

But for some reason the class hierachy isn't rendered properly in FF11 for me... (IE9 works) edit: Only had to clear my brwoser cache...
