Which of the files in the cmake directory are manually maintained when you add and remove .cpp and .h files to the project? Only CMakeLists.txt or other files also?

Only CMakeLists.txt
cmake/modules is the cmake find modules from the respective packages, cmake/config contain the ogre resource and plugin config files (runtime, not used when compiling.) which are altered depending on the build paths.

So, any luck on building, or could you do a build on windows?

No there is still trouble with cmake :S I will build on windows and see if I can figure out how to fix the problem in the meantime.
