I think we should have better release notes on each release. Before I joined the team I always tried the release versions and always had a hard time finding out, what exactly changed.

I have started a list of changes for the release notes here. I have also linked to it from the main page and re-arranged that page to be a bit easier to read for newcomers.

I am sure I missed a lot of stuff for the release notes (sound for example) and would appreciate it if everyone could make a couple entries for what has been done in their area (since you all know what you have worked on much better than I do).
