Short version: I need a simple and efficient solution that allows me to put my task list online so that people can view it. Adding and closing tasks need to be as easy as possible or I'll go nuts since I have lots of tasks in my list. Any suggestions?
Long version: I currently use a program called Tasks for managing my tasks because it's almost a perfect solution for my style of development. I like to keep my tasks small and simple, so much that a simple sentence is enough to describe the task and it usually takes an hour or two to complete a task. This works really well for me because it's easy to work for short periods at time whenever you feel like it.
However, Tasks is an offline program. I recognize that potential contributors (and online stalkers) would find a task list like mine interesting, hence I'd to put the list online. The solutions I have at hand currently are geared towards much larger tasks and far more infrequent editing than my working model. For example, creating and then closing a single ticket in Trac takes lots of clicking and page loads. Typing stuff into a wiki would make it a bit easier to add tasks, but "completing" and managing them would be annoying. TaskFreak looks a bit shinier than Trac but seems to work the same way in practice.
So, how do others manage their tasks? Does anyone know a good service that might work better for my working habits? Are there any opportunities to benefit the community by choosing a certain solution?
