Wyvern

Wasn't there a thread for the Wyvern? Anyway, here's the new version of the Wyvern. I'm not really happy with the wings, but I think I'll leave the model as it is now.
(That's only the high poly version)

Really nice texture and bump-mapping :) missa likein it :)

You should do something about the teeth, they should be more spiky and not so thick at the base. The armor has a nice shine, but it should look more used and damaged.

But quite cool :)

Attached are two in-game screenshots of the Wyvern. The first (Wyvernscreen4) shows the Wyvern with a standard material script and the second (Wyvernscreen5) with a normal map material. As you can see they look different, but the normal map doesn't seem to work. It looks as if the model receives additonal ambient light.
Also the environment map of the armor completely replaces the diffuse map atm and I've still got to figure out how to blend them correctly.

How are you getting on with this?

Btw, the OSARE project is also looking for a good Wyvern so perhaps you are further motivated by that. :D

I've got to tweak a few things, mostly the bone weights, and maybe I'll change the texture a little bit. I can upload the model to Opengameart, if the team has no objections.

PS: My internet connection is making trouble and I couldn't go online for more than a day. So if you don't hear from me, then my connection is probably striking again. ;)
