Transparent Materials

Transparent Materials

Postby Skorpio » 28 Mar 2014, 14:34

I've recently uploaded the new Dwarf and the Cavehornet, but the wings of the Cavehornet should be transparent and I have no idea how to do that with the new material scripts. Does anyone know how transparent materials can be applied with the new scripts?

Hi Elvano, :)

Can you please get us a guide as well, Bertram? =p

My own guide was this:
http://www.ogre3d.org/tikiwiki/Material ... ass_Window

My own experience so far with materials is leading me to think that in order to achieve true bump mapping such as Skorpio wants it to be,
I'll have to import the GLSLDemo shader base code and play with it. (And avoid using the proprietary-plugin-using cg scripts like it must have been the case a few years ago.)
Once, this is functional, I'll add a few bits about it. ;)

Btw, can we add pictures within pages? I wanted to use that to start working on the compile on windows (and compile on debian while on it) pages.

Best regards,
