I check it out occasionally, but no on is on - as you say - but I think that is better than people being on-line and then not answering, because they are not at their computer :S I have tried that some times, that is annoying :S

By the way I am making the personal tabs for the wiki now, and they are done. I only need to make the footer, my first try looks bad :S, so I am redoing it.

We could also use Google Wave instead of IRC, that way when some of you have rapid discussions about some topic - which can not be done in the forums for obvious speed issues - then all other can still read and follow the discussion later, as everything is logged into the wave, and you can forward and rewind the wave to see what you have missed out on.

It would suggest this tool when we need to talk to each other about a topic for which a quick exchange of messages is important, and then make links in the forums to the right place in the wave for the discussion. And then use the forum when speed of message exchange is not that important.

Dungeonbot is logging the #opendungeons channel - I am the only one who can access them at the moment. If/When the channel starts to be used more, I can make the logs available.

Nice, it would be great to have a link on the wiki and forum for these logs. Can they be collected automatically? Such that you can always click the link and see the newest conversations?

Yeah. I need to dust off the networking chapter of my python books, but it should be trivial, especially after my dns issues get sorted on my sites.

Google Talk is much better :) It also automatically keeps transcripts if we need them later on :)

Theres not enough activity at the moment. When the game takes off, the channel will be useful.

Would be nice if more of the OD people used IRC. Either our channel or #freegamer. There have been some discussions about OD there, and it would be nice to have more people participating.

I dunno. IRC is nice for casual chat, but then when project-development occurs on IRC it gets almost immediately lost to the echelons of the Internet.

True, which is why I prefer the forums. And if I need a IM I use GoogleTalk, if something important comes up there is always a log of what has been said, and then I can re-post it here.

Since I rarely use IRC, I'd also suggest to discuss important things only on the forum.

+1 for Forum here. Also because of different timezones and working/studying times. ;)

For important thing, forums are good, but for quick question, irc is useful!

Done. Let me know if all the links work though. I had an ssh session form my phone through to my home pc, then onto my VPS to launch irssi to change the topic, so all url's where hand written :)

All the links work fine. Additionally, maybe you could give me op access in the channel.
