FPS weapon views?

How tricky would it be to set up something for Syntensity to show weapon models in first-person view? At the moment, the one used in Razanak and other places isn't too bad, but it doesn't change for different weapons, and bounces up and down annoyingly when running. How hard would it be to incorporate the Cube 2 code for this?

Or for making FPS-like games, am I better off just using Cube 2 itself?

We have the same firstperson rendering code as in sauerbraten. In addition, you can render more than one model at a time (using scripts). So the engine can do it.

The only reason Razanak and our other games don't have nice gunmodels, is I don't have an artist to make the models...
