People are struggling to find the subscribe topic option. (...and shouldn't it be "subscribe TO topic"?)



This little option (and it's friends, to whom this also applies) is hidden away at the bottom of the page. It's a nightmare to find really.

Suggestions welcome.

You can check " Notify me when a reply is posted" when posting alternatively.

Yes, but that means people have to post to subscribe. Better to fix it.

I don't know where people would look for such a thing... I'm used to rss/atom feeds actually and them being in the head section of the html site so my browser tells me I can subscribe..

does anybody know of a common way to place subscription links? next to "submit post"?

Yes I know I cut the 'X posts' bit in the first image, have to find a way to make it all narrow enough - dropdown menu perhaps?

Alternative reduce the text by making it:

Topic tools: - subscribe - bookmark - email - print view - [ search topic] [ button ]

Also 'change font size' is surely a board-wide preference and can stay at the bottom?

You do, although its still not quite right.

Now it's after the forum name. It should be after the [ search ] button. Context.

"Board index > Community > Community > Forums feedback v Subscribe topic x Bookmark topic"
