[solved] Images in Signatures

Hello,

In many cases, I find images in signatures extremely annoying. But the idea of allowing to use signature space for advertising open source games I do like.

What do the dwellers think? Would signature banners be a good thing? What kind of rules should we impose?

What I came up with so far:
* Strictly open source game development related
* max image height: 64px, max total image width: 900px (multiple images allowed)
* no gif animations
* no distracting/aggressive colors

Agree. But only for open-source games/programs

Max width 512px or perhaps less. I sometimes browse using my smartphone.

If you make it extra small, it forces people to be a bit more imaginative in their usage of the images. ;)

Would it be possible to only allow locally hosted images? Because a lot of those free image hosts only work in certain parts of world.

No still in Pakistan... which actually has atomic weapons (and two, soon three power-plants)

Imageshack is one example, which is quite annoying.
