Thanks for reporting this... yeah we are having massive behind the scene issues with all sorts of forum spam due to the outdated version of this forum (long story why it is difficult to update).

Hey, why doesn't this forum have a patreon where someone can make this his or her day job of getting forum software not to suck. Something like this guy https://www.patreon.com/opengameart
except making it even more popular. (and I think we could do it if people actually took the marketing advice they offered)

Because we all have busy day jobs and don't think this would be a good income opportunity :)

The problems with upgrading this forum is of different nature though (technical debt and difficult access to servers), and this could not really be solved by paying someone for it.

That said, I am currently moving/expaning some services over to a server rented by me and should the need arise to upgrade that server again (which I don't think will happen soon) I might open a Liberapay account to recover some expenses.
