OK. I have merged all your translations now. Great work, as always! :)

As for hedgewars_gd.ts, it turned out the 20 “missing” strings were not missing at all, those were from older versions and have been deleted now. I realized you actually did complete this file 100%. Sorry for that.

Do you intend to translate the .lua file this time or is that just too much? I can totally understand if not. Note our testing phase will probably take several weeks, we're not trying to rush out a release.

Intend, yes. Whether I succeed is another matter. It is pretty challenging to translate, especially since it's sorted alphabetically and context is therefore a problem.

Yeah, we know our translation files are very messy. :( We really should move to Gettext one day. Anyway, if you need help in understanding something, we'll be ready to help in our chatroom (#hedgewars in irc.freenode.net).

can you add one new weapon? its called the nuclear bomb. it deals 75 damage points, and cuts a huge hole in the terrain. the explosion can wipe many hedgehogs out.

Sorry, we're not adding any new weapons for the upcoming release. It's now all about testing and translating.

Anyway, 75 damange doesn't seem a lot. For comparison, the hellish hand grenade deals 90 damage + fire.

GunChleoc, what's your progress so far?

Also, is there any macOS user here who could help us? We might need someone to create a macOS build. Help on this task would be greatly appreciated.

1.0.0 Beta 1

A new beta version of Hedgewars has just been released. Version 1.0.0 Beta 1.

This is mostly more bugfixes found in the previous version. We actually had a few people help testing, and some translators, too. Read all about it here:

https://hedgewars.org/node/8962

Enjoy! :)

Note that if you play online, you are probably better off with 0.9.25, since that's still the current official version that most players play. But if you and your buddies play the exact same version (even if it's beta or alpha), you should be fine, you just won't be able to play with players on the other versions. Or if you just want to try out the latest goodies right now.

We're coming pretty close to a big 1.0.0 release now! :D

I agree. It's already on our TODO list for a good amount of time. Don't worry, version 1.0.0 won't be the final version ever. But Hedgewars is good enough for version 1.0.0 in our opinion.

In the meanwhile, you could go to the settings, enable fullscreen and reduce the resolution. Yeah, I know, that sucks. But at least the GUI becomes larger.
