DRL (former DoomRL) is now FOSS (more or less)

The code is under the GPL 2.0 license, while the original art is under the CC-BY-SA 4.0 license

So it is fully FOSS now, although some of the graphics are still questionable in regards to the DOOM IP. But if one was to fix that, it could be another cool FOSS game.

I have been waiting for this to happen one day :D

I care more about the software anyway, although fully free assets are of course good too.

But at the moment, the code does not compile in GNU/Linux  https://github.com/ChaosForge/doomrl/issues/3

Dang... well give it some time. I'm sure in a couple weeks there will be a port. And maybe a 64-bit port? Not sure how difficult that would be.

I decided to try it. This comment has instructions for compiling on linux. I had to do a bunch more changes to get it to compile. Even with that it is now looking for liblua5.1.a. I can't find how that is specified. Even if I did Fedora has lua 5.4. I don't know if that version would even work.

Yes, it is a problem...the game is more or less dead...I can not compile it too.
