Hello everyone,

You may be familiar with KQ, the FOSS JRPG I'm currently maintaining.


For years the story has been left unfinished, and since I'm more of a programmer than a story teller, I'm asking you to play the game (if you haven't done so already) and let us know how you would like the game to end.

Any ideas are welcome just go wild and let your imagination flow!

Oh! And let us know if there's any bugs…

Although the original site, kqlives.sf.net, is broken (all sorts of PHP errors with the PhpWiki that hasn't been kept up-to-date), you may have some success seeing what the previous discussions contained. The search feature is broken on that page, so one of the only ways to navigate that site is to follow links between pages, and hope that every page is linked from at least one other page.

• http://kqlives.sourceforge.net/index.php/LocationIndex lists the various towns, caves, and locales that have either fully, or partially, been developed.
• http://kqlives.sourceforge.net/index.ph ... Characters describes both player-controlled and NPC characters, although many have partial or incomplete character development information (as the storyline is incomplete).
• http://kqlives.sourceforge.net/index.php/SpecialPower describes abilities available to the player-controlled characters, although it has been proposed that these skills be heavily revisited. Many need to be nerfed, others need to be beefed-up or completely redone.
• http://kqlives.sourceforge.net/index.php/SideQuest describes different avenues for finding the 7 main characters in the game (you play as the 8th). The intent of these side quests was to allow a player to branch off of the main storyline, and as a reward for completing those missions, the other characters could be unlocked.
• http://kqlives.sourceforge.net/index.php/Nostik is a good starting page with links to other plot brainstorming (such as MergedPlans and FuturePlans).

Due to all of the different idea fragmentation, no single storyline had bubbled to the surface, leaving the original KQ unfinished and filled with plot holes.
