IdealFatal - exploration game

This is a philosophical exploration adventure game project I started some 2 months ago, where you explore a surreal Ideal realm that is populated with Ideal beings and objects. Mainly it explores the concepts of absolutism and relativism, and it has you playing as the Idea Of Death, interacting with the Ideal Realm. It is supposed to be a pure exploration game, with some puzzles and dialogue and possibly some minor choices in the midst of it. I am coding it in FreeBASIC (might port to Python at some date) and the code is licensed under LGPL and the art is under various licenses that are good for OS projects though (mostly from Opengameart, as CC-BY :by: and public domain :zero: )

This is a bit of an odd choice of a project for me as I don't much like exploration games, but I felt I needed to try my hand at making a project like this. Also, the art style is something reminiscent of the old but fun game, Dink Smallwood (rendered as isometric oldie 3D but the camera is not angled 45degrees - which I should btw play through again as FreeDink is out there :D ).

I hope to produce a demo with 2 completed levels around New Year's. Currently, there are 2 levels, but they are not completed yet (they don't have enough exploratory content yet.) Gameplay-wise, it is a mish-mash of Interactive Fiction text interpreting and the "topic-based" dialogues found in Ultima series and exploration of scenes in character, and using simple typed phrases to affect the world around you.

Gah, holidays aren't the best time to be productive. (Excuses, excuses, I know, but I've been doing other stuff more than I expected :D ) I don't have a real demo ready of it yet, but I can put a link to my Git repository and current homepage of my projects. It mainly is about filling the 2 first areas with items, some npc's and other stuff for exploration.
