GeneticInvasion

GeneticInvasion

Postby MCMic » 28 Sep 2011, 14:27

Hi!

GeneticInvasion is a tower defence in which enemies evolves thanks to an evolutionary algorithm.
A presentation already has been posted on the FreeGamer blog : http://freegamer.blogspot.com/2011/09/g ... fence.html

If some of you could pull the last git revision, try the game and tell me if it's too hard, too easy, or just boring or something, it would help us improving the game for the next release.

Git informations are available here : http://projects.haxx.es/p/genetic-invas ... ee/master/

Note : If you want to change control keys you need to edit the file ~/.geneticInvasion/controls (under GNU/Linux, might be elsewhere on other OS) and add "bind left [keycode]" for each control you wanna change, right left down up being the most useful.

Haha cool =) Has an atari feel to it. Love the music. Your birds desperately need a flocking algorithm though. Any plans for a mobile release so I can play it on my ipad and give you a few bucks?

Nope, absolutely no plans of mobile release. It seems complicated and not really interesting.
I'm not even sure it's possible/easy to port a C++/SFML game to Apple devices or Android ones.

Also you need a genuine mac etc.

We would need a whole new interface, as GeneticInvasion is made to be played with keyboard+mouse.
That seems a lot of work ^^.
