"re:Xing" fun, fascinating & useful SF game idea

"Re:Xing" is an idea for a new, different kind of game :- both fun and useful.

When I replayed my favourite games, I was always upset to reach the last scenario. All my work to build cities or hero skills suddenly seemed pointless. So much time and effort but nothing gained !

So I started to make a game that would be both wonder-filled and yet give the player real, useful skills.

It aims to create a sense of awe and wonder; to stretch the mind with imaginary but logical science; to show benefits of teamwork; etc.
Based upon ideas in the best Science Fiction books and Escher's "Relativity" picture.

Using Panda3D I experimented, built models and rooms, etc.

Then I started making the game's intro movie, as a good way of enrolling helpers.
I added previews of some events in one of the game's 6 possible adventures.

In the credits, I praise the Open Source movement, as opposed to society's money insanity.

You can download various sizes and versions of the final video from

or watch 3/4 size at

Sadly, I have lost interest in making the game.

So I offer all my ideas and assets to anyone wanting to make the game, or any of its 6 adventures.
(I'll post a download link if anyone wants it.)

That's a shame that you have lost interest in it. It looks like it would be good fun, especially in VR. You have clearly put a ton of work into this.
