I'll probably do a more complete review later but I wanted to give a shoutout for DerbyNet. It is software for running a Cub Scout Pinewood Derby. The packmaster of my sons' pack wanted to buy the latest version of the track software we had used before as we couldn't get it running last year. I installed DerbyNet instead. It worked beautifully. There are a handful of things I'd like to improve on it but I'd choose it over the other software anytime. The packmaster noticed that I wasn't actually doing anything most of the time. Once it is setup and running I mostly didn't need to do anything.
We used it on Windows. I'm still trying to get it to run on my Linux box. It is having some permission problem. I suspect I could get it working if I turned of selinux but I'd like to have it work with it on.
