Hi,
I got API access to the global scientific database of all discovered exo planets, and want to create a program to make all that raw data in a nice way visible.
We're not talking about fantasy, about some game. We talk here about real data, real, newly found exo planets! Among them those planets (and even moons), which are candidates for being habitable planets! Real discoveries!
I can do the bulk of the program in Delphi (Pascal), but I have no idea about DirectX, and therefore want to invite a DirectX artist to join forces with me.
Aim is to create a freeware that visualizes the new data in amazing, beautiful and realistic ways. The program user should be able to see the sun of that solar system, and the planet(s). Planet rotation, sun glow, display of the star's habitable zone, zooming in and out, changing view angle, and also placing those exo solar systems within our own one in order to compare.
I am sure, there will be many people worldwide who will use this program in order to display that data: schools, universities, astronomers, and enthusiasts.
Please feel free to join. I need you.
