We are recreating The Sims Online from scratch, including the servers and clients. We are using the graphics from the old client, because people can still download the original client from EA. We have native support for the game's archive formats.
There are no commercial interests in this whatsoever, everything is done for fun. We are currently using Assembla for our repository.
Currently the team consists of two programmers (including myself), working several hours a day.
