I've created a language that I call SCL, Structured Canvas Language. The language is interpreted at runtime by Javascript. The language itself is not open nor the site it runs on, however the games created with it are.
For example, you can easily view SCL game code with a view source: http://playscl.com/g/shearterror/v1.txt ( for the game http://playscl.com/g/shearterror - it's a touchscreen game, view on your phone )
I'm the only developer using it right now, but of course, I'd like many developers to adopt it. Since there is no hiding the game code, embracing FOSS seems like a sensible path.
Any games I create, for the purposes of promoting SCL, I encourage anyone to take my games and work from them.
Should I promote SCL as a FOSS game development platform? I'm quite new to the free game concept (this is my 2nd day on this site). I would appreciate some input.
Thanks.
