Sourceforge outage

Basically anything useful has been down for nearly a week. It is getting pretty frustrating as it is now beginning to affect me professionally.

I'm just venting, but this is a bit of a joke.

I don't regret to have been kicked from this Sourcefarce, years ago.

Most of it is up again now, but it did take more time than one would hope.

Yet another good reason to move projects to better platforms. I'm glad we did the move for OpenDungeons with GitHub + TuxFamily.

I moved Allacrost from sourceforge/SVN to bitbucket/HG just a few weeks ago. Really glad I did so, as it's been a wonderful experience so far. And it really did not take much work at all to migrate. There are very few things that I miss about sourceforge. The frequent outages is not one of them. :p

Still down. What a ludicrous situation.

SourceForge's recent scumbuggery was difficult to swallow but this is downright unacceptable. You need to get your projects off that site Charlie. :(

Yeah, we will. They came back online with SVN yesterday apparently. Couldn't have known, was (as instructed to by redirects on the SVN repo URL) following twitter and they didn't even announce it there.

They did announce it on the blog, but didn't bother to update the blogpost where they were supposedly keeping track of all progress (and still haven't, even though they link to it in their 'SVN restoration' blogpost).
