Tuxogotchi

Tuxogotchi

Hello!

I'm making a simple game (I hope I finish it) - something like Tomagotchi, Pou, etc.

For the moment I started the game engine and all dependencies
I have yet started:
- Food (Form must eat)
- Health (if health is too low a figure to die)
- Fatigue (Form must sleep)
- Desire (Form must drink)
- Toilet (Form needs to use)
- Happiness (Form must be happy, otherwise it will start to die)
- Money (Capitalism in a nutshell: D)

Form over time loses everything (except money), it becomes less happy (to feed her chocolate, listen to the radio), health (you have to take medicine, fruit) and so on.

I wonder about maybe some additional dependency (unless you leave it at that)

If anyone has suggestions what to add (or what is expected), then perhaps I might add

No website (yet?) and no source code released (i should release code in few days)

Engine works, but it isn't a game yet (no graphics, no sound)

Above all, a mobile port! This would be most excellent on mobile devices.

Mobile would open a whole range of ideas that actually were supported by the later Tamagotchi. Consider connectivity features, such as relationships and raising a tamagotchi (sorry, penguin) family. Each Tamagotchi was classified into a certain type of pet with specific appearance characteristics but also certain strengths and weaknesses, and the offspring would inherit that.

These are, so to speak, 'stretch goals'. :) But consider what a technology like NFC (Near-Field Communication) could lend to this. It could well spark a new Tamagotchi revolution!

Two points to get from that:
  • Support for mobile devices
  • The tuxogotchi's appearance should respond to what the player is doing (happy, sad, etc)
You just wasted 3 seconds of your life reading this.
