Hi all,
Does anybody know of any RPG games in FOSS ? Looking forward to make acquaintance if somebody knows something.

You're looking for active in-development RPGs, no matter whether they are 2D, 3D, command-line-based, web broser based, MMORPGs, jRPGs, western RPGs, Hack & Slash RPGs, roguelikes, 1st or 3rd or iso-something perspective? Or do inactive-but-playable project interest you as well?

umm... active in-development RPG's , 2D graphical (no MMORPG's nor web-browser based) although can play it within web-browser if I can download the game and play it offline (not using internet) . Western RPG's would also be cool (haven't played any honestly) .

I think I have seen both the lists you shared but still going to look again, who knows I find something which I might have missed or added since the last time I saw it.

You kind of exclude western RPGs, so I assume you're talking about jRPGs. I unfortunately have only two finished but inactive suggestions to give.

I am curious to know what western RPGs are like ? By western RPG's do you mean something to do cowboys and stuff or something else altogether ?

I usually mean "like Baldur's Gate" by that term. Maybe "D&D and the like" would be a good description too.

Thanx, saw those pretty interesting. While you're right I'm more for JRPG's (i.e. stories) but also enjoy the western RPG's . If you know of any new ones(foss with repos. either on github, sourceforge.net or elsewhere but projects having some sort of source control), feel free to share them here.

RPG FOSS games? Valyria Tear and FlareRPG!
