thought we could have our own subreddit to post news and stuff: http://www.reddit.com/r/freegamers/. there is already a "Free Games" subreddit, but that was for gratis games not free as in freedom games. check it out. :-)

I doubt it. that's what "Free Games" is for. also -- moderators.

personally I hope people will post free games, discuss free game development and so on. feel free to contribute/help steer away from the bleak scenario you are describing. ;-)
