Hi all,
Does anybody know of any new FOSS RPG's. Almost all the rpg's shared on the freegamer blog few months/year ago are dead or in limbo. Looking for RPG stuff.

Does Roguelike equal RPG? In that case you might like IVAN.

Then there's our list of complete open source games. Check out the 'role playing' section.

There's also Ardentryst, which is a 2D-side scroller action-RPG, which I haven't checked out in a long while (because I can not remember that name at all). Last time I tried it there were about 15 stages and two different characters, so definitely worth a try.

I haven't tested Hale yet. Might be a tactical battle rpg worth playing.

I checked out hale and its good. The game itself is in pre-alpha but the vision of the guy is audacious. He has made all sorts of crafting and training in the game but hasn't gone much further in the game. I hope you do review it at your end soon so more people come to know about it. I would probably blog about it at my blog probably in a week's time.
