I am Tobias and write some open source SW myself, unfortunately not for STK (maybe yet :)). But the reason why I registered is a different one: STK is with my family since our daughter was 3. Now 4 years later we still play it and enjoy every release. In all releases you guys manage to really improve this game also with great ideas as eg-hunt (our little one with 2 years joined in and loves it)! Your newest release adds amazing graphics and gets it to a complete new level.

Thanks a lot to you all for this great game!!!

Just one wish from my 7 year old daughter: in the track "northern resort" there was earlier Tux flying around in a baloon and not any more in the newest release. Please bring him back somehow :). Shall I write an own post for that?

Hi, Folks!

I've started a repository for free art, that cannot hosted at OGA
https://github.com/saniv/free-game-art

OGA has ethics policies, which disallow them hosting artwork plundered from repositories or http://commons.wikimedia.org, so it won't be okay to, for example, upload artworks from Wesnoth or FreeDoom to OGA. I have even been banned for submitting CC-BY-SA artworks from Wikimedia Commons. Hence this repository.

If you have such art, inappropriate for OGA, feel free to do a pull request.

I've contacted github support, they say they don't care, as long as these assets are legal and copyright holders are okay forking it there.

Regards,

Nikita Sadkov

Hello. Call me Jack. I found these forums via trying to research a problem I ran across with a game. I can't seem to ask for help, though, as I'm being moderated.

Hi, i'm Luchete from Argentina. I began by coding an old and tiny C based 8 bit 3dengine back in '95 and always i was interested in computer graphics. I'm now starting with a Soccer AI Engine (www.faiengine.org, https://www.facebook.com/FutbolApps), building from scratch (if i can say that, because of i'm begining by learning excellent Freekick3 work), and using ogre. I find aawesome Ogre3D and want to compare with OpenSceneGraph in what concerns to performance. The dream is sometime to rewrite FreeKick3 using Bullet Physics engine in conjunction with CEGUI (perhaps SDL?) with Ogre or OSG in order to develop a community Soccer Engine project.
If there is any interested on simulation engineering, check my site www.numerical-solutions.org.

I'm Derek. I run Structured Canvas Language. I'm not sure yet how that fits into FOSS. Maybe this forum can help me with that.

Hello, I'm Trent and I'm a game developer. My first finished game, Stax, has been in Debian since around 2000. I've been an Allegro developer pretty much since Allegro 5 started. In the past 5 years I've run a company called Nooskewl. We sell binaries of open source games including Monster RPG 2 and Crystal Picnic. Now working on Monster RPG 3 which is on GitHub with binaries+data being available for purchase from our site. I know a few people here (reading 33 pages of introductions takes a long time so I admit I skimmed the last 20.)

Hello Alex,

doesn't sound like your game is open-source, which is the focus of these boards. But feel free to contribute to the discussions here if it is relevant to open-source game development.
