Hi,
I am D_ft Kid. D_ft being Daft and Deft. I do graphic design with open-source tools. Hence, I am here to ask for a bit of aid.
I am fairly new to SuperTuxKart and have noticed that one can make custom karts and tracks for the game as an add-on. However, I have an issue using the Blender addons for STK kart and track making.
I tried it on Blender versions 2.79, 2.77, 2.65a all with no results.
I tried installing both manually (by copy and pasting in the correct directory) and by using Blender's install addon function.
Am I doing something wrong??

Greetings. I am Jeremiah D. Blake. I've been playing SuperTuxKart since middle school and I've realized I've evolved during 2014. So much for boredom, I wish I could get used to contributing some STK tracks. Just stay safe and never associate with victim cardplayers. :3

Victim card sounds like it would be a cool game, maybe something like cards against humanity with a twist. Of course it wouldn't be the right game for every demographic.

I am Hrap. Just want to advertize my open source program, a hexagonal minesweeper game, written on Pascal+Lazarus https://github.com/hrap1919/sixer.

I am not a professional programmer through. This is just an old student time project.

Interesting game creator Frank. You should start a thread in the Projects section for it. It seems rather restricted to what it can do. Which is fine. I consider the RPG Maker series a great setup. They can't build everything but they make it easy to build a particular type of game. The tutorial seems to show a lot of options in your game creator. It might be nice to explain what you are doing in the video.

Hi here and thanks for the membership :) .

I'm an older guy (74) and I've been involved from the start right from they first games with 'ZX80, Spectrum, VIC-20 and Commodore 64.
I love making games, programming in (C, C ++, 3D Max, game scripting and so on).
My 'main creation' is called VirtuChat 1 based on the 'today old graphics engine, Torque'.
I will tell about it later elsewhere in this forum.

Best regards, Jan from Denmark :).

Welcome Jan. I played a little with the VIC-20. I think I threw out some tapes for it when cleaning the basement recently. Granted I was much younger when playing with this stuff :)

Thank you very much .. Yes there were times back then. In the late 70's I also learned that assembler programming 6502/6510, the latter a special version was used in Commodore 64.
You can see my current project by clicking on my 'website symbol' :).

Hi,

My name is Lukas, I am programmer and I love playing games :) I like strategy games like travian, but it consume a lot of time :( So I decided to create new strategy game, which will be interesting but not such time consuming. As I am backend developer I made first version of it, it runs, but it looks very bad :( I am here to get some ideas how to improve it and maybe find someone who would like to help me.

Spieletreff auf Abstand / Game meeting at a distance

PostPosted: 27 Aug 2020, 14:47
by horald
Hallo Leute,

Horst

My attempt to translate it to english:

Hi guys,

i am currently trying to organize a game meeting at a distance. Quasi a LAN party under corona conditions. And to place laptops/PCs with LAN-cables at a distance of 1.5 meters should be no problem. But I also need network-enabled games. One of them would be SuperTuxKart. That's why I downloaded it for testing. But I can't find any help on the website http://www.supertuxkart.de/, especially how to start a local server. And the community page (http://community.games4mac.de/) is no longer available. But as a data protector I will not go to a Facebook page. So I wanted to ask here if I can get some help how to get a local server running under Linux for SuperTuxKart? I would be very happy about a friendly feedback.

Many greetings
Horst

Open source is the current mainstream because the spirit of the Internet is sharing, isn't it? I love studying code, and now I am learning Python.

Hello,
not much of a developer but I've been playing supertuxkart for longer than I care to admit...
Great stuff for the casual gamer, and the sheer number of contributed tracks is mindboggling!
