Hi, I like to go by the name Beoran online. I'm interested in this forum becaue I'm working on my own open source RPG as a hobby project, namely Eruta. The goal is to make a clasic 2D RPG with a not so classic, deep plot about life in the country of Eruta, hre on earth, but 60000 years in the future. Look at http://beoran.net/eruta if you like. If not, I hope you'll all welcome me. :)

Hello! I'm Sandy from Germany,

I Maintainer for gentoo/funtoo Live-ebuild of Stuntrally. In my ebuild I have a wrapper resolved completely outsources the game data in memory. For me a performance increase is noticeable. This wrapper is independent of a Linux distribution and should work with most if stuntrally in /usr/bin, rsync is present and /dev/shm is used.
If a maintainer of another distribution would use this wrapper and must change, from whatever reason, I offer to take them global in my scripts. So it is maintained in one place. The script has been placed under the GPLv3 license and can be found in my github.

https://github.com/knasan/ebuilds/blob/ ... ly_wrapper

Thank you for this wonderful game.

I'm Ismael from Spain,

Just wanted to post that I took the liberty of packaging and uploading a AppImage of Red Eclipse to http://www.portablelinuxgames.org/, in order to receive any kind of feedback. I also have uploaded packages for SuperTuxKart, SuperTux, and I'm working on Stunt Rally and OpenDungeons.

Hey, I am Twisted Fury (Also known as Deltacon at many other places) And I am a Linux gamer. I run several different desktop environments such as KDE, Gnome shell, Mate, etc. to increase fps in games, but with this game I have not needed that, because for how great it is, I get surprisingly high fps here. I have 3 GB of ram, a 2 GB memory Nvidia GeForce GT 610 and sadly, a 3.06 GHz hyper-threaded Intel Pentium 4 processor. I am looking currently to upgrade my PC.
About me:

I am 13 years old and enjoy Linux games with the Cube 2 or Quake engine, just because their that good. I am experienced in forum code (Also known as BBCode) and I enjoy helping others with whatever they need (If I can help that is). I currently own a clan (Its only been out for about 5 days, its very new. We have about 10 members) I am not sure if I am allowed to post links directly on the forums so if someone wants to see it, I will not advertise blatantly, just pm for it. =).
I would love to get to know a lot of you, and I am sure I will enjoy my experience here!

Sincerely, Twisted Fury

Postby raiden » 20 Mar 2013, 16:39

Oha, I'm a member since the begining of the year 2012 and forgot to introduce myself here :). Red Eclipse brought me into this forum, because of it's great map-editor. Thats why I'm here. I can share ideas or map concerning things with others. It's also good to become feedback from others to improve the own work. Many hints could help me well in the past and it's still going on.
So I catch up on to say hello :).
