Can anyone recommend any open source games with rain effects or forests?

Thanks for the suggestions qubodup. Nexuiz has only one map with rain I think, Ruiner. Xonotic has none I think, hope they will add one though.

I just think rain looks cool in games. Weather effects often adds a lot to a game's atmosphere imo. I don't have any experience in making games, I'm a player atm, otherwise I would have loved to help out on some faif game.

There's one track in SuperTuxKart with rain, thunder and lightning, and two tracks with snow. But if you're after realistic weather effects, it might not be what you're looking for.

It isn't used in any seen yet, but it has been implemented.

I agree that weather adds atmosphere to a game, I especially like snow, and snowy landscapes!

Hello Edward, from watching the video clip your game looks pretty awesome, well done! The weather effects together with the music gives that scene a nice kind of melancholic/horror mood that I like.
