YouTuber "The Linux Gamer" has had enough of the shenanigans in the game industry and has begun to gather people in an effort to create a Linux game to wow the industry.

Post your game suggestions here:

Surprisingly enthusiastic response from potential contributors. Together with a nicely supported engine like Godot, this could actually go somewhere :)

Seems a reasonable goal, but not really my type of game.

Well, a MP game doesnt sounds like a good idea to me, but I have to agree that I would love to see a Kart battle game, with players firing each other missiles and such things, like old DeathTrack (the new one sucks). Godot is the engine to use, of course.

I mean, gantt charts... this is going to either be a colossal failure or a commercial venture.

I saw that post earlier. I have to say I think the post has a lot of good information in it. I hope this project succeeds but I can't say I expect much. The Linux Gamer has no game development experience and in fact no programming expeerience. He invited all he subscribers to join the effort. He had no game idea at the time. I'm hoping him and raven can pull it all together.

Yeah, expectations are low, but with the level of interest it might end up in something interesting.

Regarding Gantt charts, yeah corporate bullshit ;) A Kanban board is helpful though.

Bwahahahaha. But seriously, this project is very very young, there is no way in predicting in how it will go. It's not even clear what kind of game it will be.

But woah, there's a lot of high-profile programmers here.
