Videos longer than a few seconds need a tl;dr. Any highlights from that talk?

At first I thought, hey, this video is a waste of a half-hour when I could be watching another video on moving from Java 8 to Java 11, but I decided to watch it anyway.

I already knew the stuff about crunch time and the employee churn, that is like old news. The thing that was interesting is when I learned they were actually unionizing, and then the other thing that was interesting was when the guy went into
the video game to talk about the way they treat their workers. They just don't care. On the other hand, I wouldn't have expected any other response (in general) from game players. First of all, these are probably mostly teens who haven't had the real life experience yet of being exploited at work. Secondly, its just a big problem in general about people not caring unless something directly affects them. My parents are like that too, They don't seem to care that someone in a third world country got exploited making the cheap goods from third world countries, they are like it is cheaper so its better we have free trade. Never mind that some of the stuff they do in those countries wouldn't be allowed in my country (USA). I consider it part of the "sweep it under the rug" mentality, and I find it disgusting. Also, in games there is a certain degree of escapism. People go to games to escape stressful stuff in real life so I don't necessarily think it is the best place to bring up issues. I think disgruntled ex-game players would be a much more receptive audience.
