The makers behind ink (an open source interactive fiction scripting language) have announced a 3-day game jam running from August 31. Sounds like a great excuse to check it out.

I haven't used ink myself but from the blurb it sounds like you can use it as middleware to implement things like dialog trees. Has anyone used it? Or some other middleware to do dialog trees?
