As in what? The first game someone ever got, regardless of whether FOSS or proprietary? Because in that case, I wouldn't really know which game was the first game I ever owned personally. I know that generally, I was raised on mostly FOSS games, including well-known and thriving ones such as SuperTux, Extreme Tux Racer, and SuperTuxKart, as well as some games which are somewhat more obscure and likely abandoned, such as Open Invaders, Alex the Allegator 4, and GL-117. I generally enjoyed all of those games. They were a fond part of my childhood, and they give me a good sense of nostalgia to this day. I still play a good number of these games today and hope to reinstall more of them.

I assume only electronic games count.

My first video game was Pong which was just one hardwired game (without a computer), directly connected to the TV. And I first was sceptical but soon was glad. It was a very primitive sort of tennis.

My first computer game (on a Commodore VIC-20)? I don't remember.

Greetings
Peter
