Hi everyone !

I'm new here.

I didn't have seen kart with Suzanne, so I decided to create one.

Work in progress.

The last kart exporter python script
b3d exporter needed by kart exporter

You have to place them in your blender script

Documentation
Isn't indicated in wiki : the character and the kart, although being a part of the same mesh, have to be 2 different entities. In order, to use the character on another vehicle or for an animation to be Included in game.

Please, think to tell us about license you will give to this model.

This kart is great!

May I suggest that the steering wheel be replaced with a torus mesh (donut), so you don't get the vertical lines printed on the sides of it.
I think it would look good if Suzanne was bigger in relation to the kart.

This is truly a great kart!

This is the work of a professional ! Did you learn to model & texture like this on your own ?
I am particularily impressed by the textures precision and the balance between the model & the textures details.

Can't wait for the animations ;)

Too bad that there doesn't seem to be any further progress. This kart would definitely be worth to be included in the main game.
To judge from the screenshots it's going to be even better than most main karts (and I don't speak of Elephpant, Gooey or Beagle here).

That's true. Even Tux could do with a little tweak in my opinion - fix the awkward-looking steering stick thing, and make those tailpipes nice and shiny! :)
Elephpant is IMO the worst looking kart in 0.7.1b., Gooey 2nd, and Kongi 3rd.
I would help, but sadly I'm too involved with school at the moment to produce a full-fledged model. :cry:

Cea, if you read this, please don't leave us. This kart is AMAZING. Even if you're involved in school like me, please don't abandon this. It's one of the best looking kart for this game I've seen. Ever.

It took 4 months for the 1st update, Céa must be busy, and maybe works on Suzanne during some (rare ?) free time...

Yeah, thanks and wow, I am really impressed by the quality of the kart, particularly when compared to its low polygon count...
And you also made the animations and the icon...great!

BTW, I can't open the icon, GIMP says this version of the XCF format is not supported, are you using some very recent build of GIMP?

Could you share some info about the way you made the textures? Did you use some ambient occlusion baking?

Hi,

very, very nice work, thanks a lot!! :D I have added your kart straight into STK, thanks a lot of the high quality contibution. (I have reduced a bit some textures and saved them as JPEG because they were too big; the difference is not noticeable in game IMO. However I keep the original ones)

So congratulations and I hope everyone likes this kart as much as i do :)

I use gimp 2.7.3
Yes, i use some ambient occlusion.
