Hello everybody

I like the track secret garden. But I think It can be improved and optimised. So I started a remix.

The first screenshoot

This flower has 16 poly, like the original, but it's most optimised and detailed

If you have idea or sugestion :)

OK new world = new effect :)

Yesterday I implemented a basic billboard effect (thank you Auria). I tested it with a light halo texture

the only thing I can suggest you is to make bushes a bit darker so they'll fit the grass (these plants are light, the texture of grass is dark) and.. what? a red bridge? :D who knows, but I haven't seen red wooden bridges in real life :P
Anyway, it looks incredible, I'm waiting for the next screenshots :)

Also, I really like the idea, samuncle. The screenshots look great. When your finished I think this track should definately be in supertuxkart.

I try the new possibility of exporter. Making animated billboards. For this test, the billboard is just a halo around a japanese lantern.

Thank you

For the relationship to secret garden. The track patern is the same, but It's not a copy it's a remix ;) A new concept of a garden.

You can give me more idea and suggestion

Wow, I really like the mountainside and the trees. It almost like its a background of somewhere real!

I'm looking forward to seeing more Japanese garden type elements like the glowing lanterns, flowers, etc. Great work with what you've got so far. Maybe some religious temples, rock gardens, koi ponds, bonsai trees, cherry blossom trees, kites, bamboo forests, roundly trimmed shrubs --the list goes on and on with cool stuff to fill up your empty space!

The bridge could use some work:
Its easy to get stuck on an outside pole, and have another kart jam you there, since the AI gets stuck too.
The transitions on and off the bridge are pretty steep.

it doesn't show up in the track selection screen for me. what do i have to do to get it to work?

it would be nice if everyone posted test tracks in an exported and working state. :)

horace, you sure it isn't in another track group, like "demo" or so? I haven't tested this track (yet), but I know samuncle have using another track group before for WIP content (and I think it's a good way to keep things maintainable, provided people don't create too many groups, or the feature would do the opposite of the intended: keeping things organized).

I probably should test before speaking, but... ;)

No, none of the XML files are present that normally constitute a track.
You will need to export the track first before you can play it...

You must export the track before playing. And yes, it is in the group "beta"
