First of all:
So...
A few months ago I created two karts for STK 0.8.1. Now I ported them to the new engine.
I'm quite familiar with blender so in my opinion the karts aren't bad. Maybe it is even possible to include these karts in the core game. Who knows...
When I first saw the karts I ported to 0.8.2 beta I was a little confused. The colors of the textures are very dark and the look of the kart is not comparable with what I knew from 0.8.1. This makes it very hard to create glossmaps.
But I tried and here's the result :
First kart:
Amanda (mascot of Window Maker)
I know there is already a kart in the addons library, but I'm not in favour with it so I made a totally new one (because I can, duh).
