Individual Voices for Characters

Hi,

there are a few people on youtube interested in creating individual voices for the characters. For the record, we already have code in place to allow special SFX to be played for each kart, but we never had enough good voices to use. Maybe we can get there now.

At this stage, we have the following sound effects defined:
{l Code}: {l Select All Code}
        CUSTOM_HORN,    //!< Replaces default horn, which is played if you try to use an item but don't have one
        CUSTOM_CRASH,   //!< Played when colliding with another kart
        CUSTOM_WIN,     //!< Played when racer wins
        CUSTOM_EXPLODE, //!< Played when struck by bowling ball or dynamite
        CUSTOM_GOO,     //!< Played when driving through goo
        CUSTOM_PASS,    //!< Played when passing another kart
        CUSTOM_ZIPPER,  //!< Played when kart hits zipper
        CUSTOM_NAME,    //!< Introduction (e.g. "I'm Tux!")
        CUSTOM_ATTACH,  //!< Played when something is attached to kart (Uh-Oh)
        CUSTOM_SHOOT,   //!< Played when weapon is used

Missing appears to be a sfx when losing a race ;)

So, I am opening this thread now, and hope that some of the people from youtube might join us here ;)

That seems to be a good idea, if there could be a character from me in real life, i could do my voices, also if this is featured on future versions, we could add more than 1 voice if you get attack or something, like 2 or 3, you make the choices

I'd be interested to voice Nolok. (A little bit deeper with audacity and more for the german version)

I think you forgot some voices (viewtopic.php?f=18&t=4003&p=52192&hilit=voices#p52192)
-> When you threw something (example: bowling ball) and you succeeded: the voice has to show the player is happy
-> When you fall "off track":

Then those voices have to played something like 40% of the time because we need to avoid what i call the "Mickey Speedway usa effet" == ALL the character speak ALL the time (in-game): then i have nausea after 20 min.
