Learning to make tracks: invalid start position?

Hello community
I want to start making tracks for stk. I already have knowledge in Blender: I've modelled and animated things for more than three years now.
I've started to play STK from version 0.5 I think. This game is absolutely great :)

So, now I made a simple 3 strikes battle map for stk (only a plane and a cube with some empties) but STK cannot load my map.
{l Code}: {l Select All Code}
ERROR: no valid starting position for kart 0 on track test

How do I have to place the startposition-empties to get this map loaded correct? Or what I am doing completely wrong?

Thank you for your help

Hi,

I cannot spot the problem just right now. It seems like this problem would be Joerg's, but he's currently on holidays so he should be able to check that in a couple days when he's back. I will try hard to remember to tell him, but if we forget, feel free to poke us in a couple days ;)

meanwhile, I recommend activating artist debug mode : http://supertuxkart.sourceforge.net/Artist_Debug_Mode
With this active, the kart will start flying, and you can "land" it by repeatedly pressing the J key, so you can at least test your track until Joerg can check what's wrong

I just found my problem!

The ground on which the kart starts, must have a texture. I applied a simple uv texture on my plane and now it works :)

Have a nice day
