Star Track: Revisioning

Star Track: Revisioning

Postby Hero » 19 Dec 2012, 23:25

Hello,

I've been playing around with the concept of Star Track for a while and I've finally come up with a different version. It tries to move away from the look of Gown's Bow from the original Tux Kart and look more like something that was "put there" in space.

- Completely redid track and driveline.
-- On the rings of Saturn.
-- Different route.
- Added junk.
-- "Holders".

Here we are:

:? umm......

I agree that startrack could use some work, but I don't really see how this is "spacey" the road may be a big part of it. I don't think space is paved....... try changing it back to the gradient and make it not so square...... ugh, squares in space
Some people are like slinkies... not really good for anything, but you still can't help smiling when you shove them down the stairs.

Hmmm, the main reasons I edited:

- Ludsky suggested it
- I didn't like the gradient.

So no gradients. What about something different? Any ideas?

Hmm, your work looks good, but I think the road should still be transparent.

BTW, what is that Dino cart? Is it a different Mozilla? Where did you get it?

Alternative Mozilla, can be accessed with the add-ons manager in game if artist debug mode is enabled.

Transparent roads. The problem with these is that beginners often fall off.

Paved-like road could work if a segment would be on a meteorite or small moon or even debris like a space shuttle...maybe something to explore...

I agree than this track is not interesting yet, and that there is something to do. ^.^
But I prefer from far a transparent road, and don't like these arch i find strange. The segment on a meteorite is an idea which seems to be interesting.
