Icy's Song Pack

Postby Icy » 07 Dec 2012, 03:33

Yeah, that's it. It's my song pack. I'll be posting some songs of mine on this thread. If you like it, just ask for permission to use it in your track. I allowed you guys to download it for free, just give credit.

Hmm, good.

Just a few notes:

It's nice if the piece would loop as it will play multiple times in STK...

What is the license of the music? STK only allows free licenses.

What is the format? At this moment it seems STK uses .ogg (ogg Vorbis).

Is there a particular place in the game that it is designed for? Like a specific track?

Also, I could be wrong, but I think I recognise a few Apple loops in there... I'm pretty sure music needs to be to be 100% original (or at least that's what I understand). It may just be me hearing things though.

As Hero said, your music HAS to have a license to be included in SuperTuxKart. You will also have to change the file type, the devs will only accept .ogg files.

I think what Icy means is you can use it for ANY track IF YOU WANT.

No Apple loops. I'd bet my computer... no I'd bet UNIRAIL's computer that they're proprietary.

Oh, ok. I'll make another song instead of this one, and in the ".ogg" format. But, I don't know if soundcloud supports the Ogg Vorbis format

I think for the new piece it would work much better if you took out the "Radio Talking". Also, unless it's licensed free, the radio talking definitely has to go.

Oh, ok. I'll try to remove the radio-talking.
