Doing the Dishes 0.7

Postby asciimonster » 09 May 2010, 12:21

This is the conversion of the 0.6 track.

I ask the community to help me iron out the problems that are in this track.

Hi,

interesting track, it's just hard to see the right way to drive; also, AIs sometimes hit objects so probably the drivelines should be tweaked

Hi,

been thinking about it, this track might be perfect for a battle arena :o
However, there is another problem : there is no licensing information along the track. Where did the textures come from, what is their license?

When I made the track I wasn't particularly thinking about licences... more about creating a working track.
Attached are the links I was able to find again.

Thanks, unfortunately CGTextures and Mayang both use licenses we cannot accept, so this track may not be used by us for this reason :/

Hmm. Time for a re-texture.

Is there a list of "allowed" websites we can draw from? I never seem to be able to find websites with correct licences, if I can find licence information at all...

Pretty sure you already know about http://opengameart.org - but I think it is a very good site and should be perfectly safe (if everyone follow their rules). :)
Hey pal, I took an oath for justice! "In happy days or tightest tights..." or something like that.

It's time to give this track of mine a once-over.

One problem found:
-> type=water combined with interaction=none gives some very strange results (Only one polygon moving as a wave).

Hi,

about the water, try to use the "Apply scale and rotation" feature, this should fix the issues you see

Yes, that did correct the problems, but I see that both alpha blending and interaction=none do not work on water objects... Dang.
