Hi,

First i want to congratulate all of you for this second alpha, great Job! Now i can compile and play. :)
I try to make a GUI, because i'm not fan of brown/green together. This is not finish but i have already somes suggestions to improve (i think)the interface, because the fonts take lot of space. Screens below.

There is another thing i try to make but i'm not a coder. :(
I want to separate the different Spinner to put some effects (like hover) on the race menu but no effects on the audio's spinners menu. I try to find a way in the xml file of the skin with no success.

EDIT: If it's possible i want to separate the tabs too because 180° rotation is not good for the tab picture, and i want to put other things. ;)

Thanks.

The skin is finished, you can donwload it below.

Thanks for the feedback; and all contributions welcome :) GUI skins are especially wanted.

I'm not sure how the fonts take a lot of space; they need to be big enough otherwise they won't be readable. I also don't understand the annotation in your screenshot, sorry.

Also, note that the input configuration screen will probably change

I'm afraid I don't understand you here.
There is currently no way to have 2 spinners look different, at the moment the GUI engine is coded in a way that all spinners look the same. And I don't really see any interest in spending time making it customisable on a per-widget basis?

You mean, have different images for tabs up and tabs down? I guess that should be possible.

Don't worry, i don't want to modify fonts, only pictures. ;)
I mean we don't need some text like numbers on glassspinners or text next to the checkbox, and if those are remove we can put all in one line, this is just an idea of course.

Yes! and i want to make the same thing for the glassspinners i hope you understand me and my bad english now. ;)

Ok, but that would cause problems; the STK GUI design was really designed for vertical navigation. The left/right keys on the volume widgets will increase/decrease volume, so you couldn't use them to move to another widget on the left or on the right. This would make the menu impossible to use with a keyboard or a gamepad, only mouse would work.

For tabs I understand, but for spinners, I'm sorry, I don't understand; there are no "up" and "down" spinners??

PS: my native language is French so you can speak to me in French if that's easier for you

Hi,

good work. When time to release approaches, we will definitely look at all possibilities for skin and include the best ones.
However, we cannot do anything with your skins at the moment, because they contain no license statement - i.e. we don't have the permission to use them. See the sticky post for more license info! Regarding images you made yourself, you can choose the license you want. Regarding images you modified from the original skin, attribution to the original authors will need to be given, and the license will need to remain compatible with the original license ( I'm the author of all images in the original skin except the checker background, so don't worry, I'm flexible ;) )

I keep the previous licence for the images because i use your geometry so: CC BY SA
Archives contains a "LICENSE" file now.

Thanks. Just like in the other topic, though, I'll need to mention that if you make it non-commercial then we will be unable to include it along STK

Why not?

Because STK will be refused in linux distributions like Debian or Fedora or ubuntu or ... in this case. And I'm not even sure if sourceforge allows uploading materials with this license on their servers
