This is the best TRACK EVER in SupTuxKart....

Its so beautiful, challenging, and majestic... The animation and eye candy is simply astonishing. My goodness, this track is the proper standard setter for track building.

Why not put this track for 0.8 ? (Auria, Hiker, Samuncle, Rudy)

It's very good, just one problem mode reverse

We know that making a track is a lot of work and not it's not easy.

Mystic island have many good ideas, like the fireflies and lanterns halo. But this track needs more polish, many textures are old and we have better ones (see in other tracks), some objects are just untextured.

Some bugs:
Halo glitch, we see the limit of alpha plane
Tree with black background (maybe a problem with alpha channel)
Brick and earth textures (They are ugly)
The transition between the track and the ground isn't smooth everywhere
Objects untextured
Flying trees
Maybe too fireflies and magical effect
Some objects can be improved
Reverse mode (that's not a little problem)

And for the 0.8 version we have chosen the green valley witch looks good.

But it's a very nice start. Continue to improve your track ;)

Extreme Dimension of David Herrera it's good also for 0.8 ?

Though I like this track I don't think that it fits the style of the main package. But who am I to speak.

There are still big issues with this track :

  • the virtual path is wrong, making the AI stop indefinitely
  • The lighting is mangling all the textures
  • the face normals are facing everywhere, making backface culling break the appearance of the geometry
It's a big mess.
I could fix the normals if I had the latest version of the blend file but the last post in this thread is so old that I don't think the latest version is here anymore.
Otherwise, I don't think this track should be available as it is.

yeah, as you wrote, this track was a big track on thier time, when the new version of stk arrived this track was completely destroyed, inclusive for me the track mess up when i used other version of blender, i gived up, instead i made a new track of mystic island but that is still in progress... since 2015.

Do you have the latest blend for the track? I'd be willing to at least fix the bugs.
