Texture: TNT bomb

Hi,

I have played SuperTuxKart yesterday and thought "Why not contribute a new texture for the TNT bomb! :D ". And here I am: I hope you like it. :)

Hi,

nice start but I'm not sure about the 'X' in the circles? They look very much mouse-drawn
Also I find it a little weird that there is a very bright red spot right between the sticks; I believe the original stick texture was baked so that there would be shadows in the appropriate places. This is a little lacking IMO. But very nice work on the dial :)

Can someone export the uv map please :D ? This would ease the painting of the texture :) .

It seams to be not possible to get the b3d file imported back into Blender. Is there a way to get this done?

Don't import it, instead check the media repo ( http://supertuxkart.sourceforge.net/Media_Repo ), the blend file is under /models/tnt-bomb.blend

And I must say, I personally don't think there is anything wrong with the current model, maybe you could make a nicer bouncing ball instead, the one we have atm is really ugly

I have worked on the TNT bomb texture again and hopefully improved it. Now there should be no more "holes" or bright, ugly ereas. ;)

The new bomb texture looks nice, and the bouncing ball may too; would have to see it in-game to decide. But I think the bomb texture is a definite improvement. :)

the ball texture is a lot better, but it has a bit to much black on it.

Hi,

nice work, but here is still my gripe :)
on the old texture, there were shadow effects on the sticks ( see attached arrow ). In the new texture, this shading effect is lost, which I find a little bad. Think this can be added back?
