Single - and multiplayer menu icons

All is in the title.

Fits better with the new story book.

Included zip with all the useful items for the gui folder, an "old" version where the direction of the wheel is on the left (I don't like it as much...), the GIMP and Inkscape files.

:zero: as always.

Note: I won't have time tomorrow, but i'll be pleased to see any feedback.

Is it just me or do the wheels really look a bit flat.
I guess you should make the wheel more spatial. To me it looks like stuck onto the monitor.

This is nice but as E-dragon said, i think it looks a bit flat (due to no-shader insid the wheel and maybe you should use the perspective tool of gimp a bit  to make it be "more spatial" )
Then i like the design but (and this is just my opinion) i prefer the "tux head" insid the wheel. :)

These wheels are good but maybe it may have been easier to make the black outline of the story book be bigger, no ?

nb: there is no link at all with my answer ^^ but just out of curiosity do you prefer inskape or libreoffice draw ? I have both but i never used LO Draw

I work on it (I have a boring teacher) but slowly.
I chose to get out tux while really like the STK logo and tux looks... Irrealistic IMHO. Having a trademark is often seen on cars, but no animal... (Except if it's the marks like Peugeot :) ). Is our mark Tuk only or SuperTuxKart? ;) A big debate :D. I can try to put him back (to see the result) but I need the original svg (I could'nt find it)

About the program I use: Both! I use draw for speedy drafting and then inkscape to make the final one.

I don't have my wheel draft anymore, but here is my book draft: Image
I draw it with simple shapes, then copy-paste in inkscape, and use the pencil to make simple shapes I can put together. It surely not "pure", I rarely merge points but the result looks good.

Sorry for double post - I wanted to make it to make it "visible".

So, new version

Added: new texture around the wheel, shadows. I'm not sure it's good enough, but It's IMHO definitely better than the first version.

Looks good to me :) this is better than points on the wheel, maybe playing with perspectives isn't necessary.

To be honest I think our current icons are fine and I see no need to replace them; and I must say I am unconvinced by the proposed replacements, sorry

Don't be sorry, it's just your advice.

Then I won't work on these wheels anymore.

(To be honest I think the current wheels we have in game look really bad... )

Edit: If you have a 2d todo's list...
(I began a 3-strikes battle icon but sooooooo ugly :p)
