Currently, it does not look very convincing when a kart is eliminated from the game (in Follow the Leader or 3-Strikes Battle). It just disappears. This looks ugly and weird.

I suggest to make karts explode to nothing when they got eliminated. This should only be a graphical effect, it should not hurt other karts.

Or maybe someone has a better idea for an effect or animation (feel free to post!).

Or maybe Thunderbird could take your kart away? Seems a little more logical, after all your kart doesn't actually get destroyed.

I suggested explosion because:
a) it is hilarious/stupid
b) I believe it is easier to implement than a fancy model animation

For 3-strikes battle, I think explosion is also the most logical.
Your Thunderbird idea is best suited for Follow the Leader.

there's some good ideas there. I'm not sure they will happen soon because we'll be busy with networking, just to let you know we're not ignoring ideas, but have other priorities taking up much time

I agree this is not the highest prority, nor should it be.
